Linnet is built on one promise: your health data stays on your device, and we never collect it. There is no account, no server of ours, and nothing to sell — because we have nothing.
Linnet stores the information you choose to enter — cycle and period logs, symptoms, moods, pregnancy details, baby feeding/sleep logs, growth measurements, notes, and any photos you add. All of it lives only on your device, inside a database encrypted with AES-256. The encryption key is held in the iOS Keychain, pinned to your device.
None. Linnet has no backend and makes no network calls with your health data. We do not receive, see, or store anything you enter. We use no analytics and no third-party tracking. On the App Store, Linnet's privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”
If you choose to connect Apple Health, Linnet can read and write menstrual data on your device only. This data is never used for advertising, never shared, and never leaves your device through Linnet.
Backups are off by default. If you turn one on, your data is encrypted on your device first (with a passphrase only you know) and then saved either to a file you control or to your own iCloud. We never have the key and never see the contents. If you lose both your passphrase and recovery key, no one — including us — can recover the backup. That is by design.
Any reminders you enable are scheduled locally on your device. Their text is deliberately vague and never reveals anything personal on your lock screen.
We never share or sell your data, because we never have it. Any export (a keepsake PDF, a backup file) is created on your device and shared only by you, to where you choose.
You can permanently erase everything at any time with “Delete all data,” which removes every record, the encryption key, any saved backup, and scheduled reminders.
Storing data locally is the safest model, but it is not absolute. A device that is unlocked or weakly protected can be examined through physical/forensic access. Your strongest protections are a strong device passcode, the in-app biometric lock, keeping backups off, and deleting what you no longer need.
Linnet is a wellness tracker. It does not diagnose anything and must not be used as contraception or to prevent pregnancy. Predictions are estimates, not guarantees. For medical advice, consult a clinician.
Linnet is a general-audience wellness app and is not directed at children under 13. Baby-tracking information is entered by a parent or caregiver and, like all data, stays on the device.
